A personal safety hub that allows users to check-in with their friends and family using iPhone, Apple Watch, and Google Home devices.
Lighthouse is an innovate approach to personal safety and accountability. It is designed to provide a greater sense of safety & security for you and your loved ones. This is accomplished through an application hub that allows users to periodically check-in with their trusted contacts, indicating their safety status. In the event of a missed check-in, or in an emergency, contacts are notified immediately.
Integration with iOS devices and Google Assistant enable users to interface with the hub to quickly and seamlessly add contacts, create check-in schedules, check-in, and receive notifications regarding upcoming check-ins. This product helps to pave the way for the future of personal safety and new innovations via integrations with other smart home devices.
Schedule one-time or recurring check-in reminders. A missed check-in will trigger an escalation. Failure to respond will alert your trusted contacts.
Check-in at anytime to let your friends and family know your safety status. An emergency check-in will immediately send an alert to your trusted contacts.
Connecting a Google Home device to your account will allow you to check-in with Lighthouse using voice commands.
Support for Android and Amazon Alexa devices will be added during the next phase of development. Additionally, the product will be expanded to include integrations with other smart devices, including:
Home Security Systems and other Smart Home devices, such as surveillance cameras, smart locks, and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.
Wearable devices with biometrics such as smart watches, fitness trackers and health monitoring devices.
Future functionality will include configurable, layered escalation options for missed and/or emergency check-ins. This will include giving the user the option to automatically notify emergency services and send critical data to first responders. Users will also be allowed to designate specific contacts for each check-in, if desired.
GPS location detection, tagging and tracking, as well as, geofencing features are also planned for future product releases. Using this functionality, as an example, a check-in could be triggered based on a location, such as upon arriving at a planned destination safely. Or, an alert could be triggered if a user leaves a specified area.
